I am extremely honored to be a part of the the Troy School District; servicing the International Academy East! This is my 6th year of teaching and my first year at the IA. I began my first two years in this profession at Multicultural Academy Charter School in the Ypsilanti District where I taught 8th through 12th grade. I was responsible for educating students in U.S. History, Economics, Government, World History, World Cultures, and assisting in the Title I program. I had also worked at Hart Middle School in Rochester for a short period of time as a long-term sub right before I received the 6th grade geography position at Avondale Middle School. I was at the middle school for two years before being transfered to the high school to teach 9th grade U.S. History and 11th grade World History. I am passionate about social studies and acquired my B.S. at Grand Valley State University where I majored in Group Social Studies and minored in Political Science. In June of 2016, I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University.
